"I hated structure"

I remember having books full of what I called art. I use to come home after school everyday and write how I felt. I became obssessed with using similies and oxymorons to express my emotions. I hated structure. The teacher would tell us we had to write poems a certain way. She told us we had to have a certain amount of stanzas. I found that deceptive. If this is creative writing, why is there a certain structure? Why do we have rules to express ourselves. What is your reason for limitations? My thoughts wouldn't make sense to someone who wants to stay in an enclosed space. At this point, its a confined space. You see things one way and thats a problem. Thats why racism and discrimination exist. Too many sharks are in home aquariums.
